Part of Northern Exposure’s 2013, High Street Visual Arts Festival; ‘Do You Come Here Often?’ was a commentary on social interactions and the permanency of (street) art. When engaging in conversations with strangers the common question to be asked is ‘do you come here often?’ – this concept is further analysed through the permanency of street art. Street art commonly has a short life span as do most arbitrary conversations with strangers.

The series of five large format posters portray five random characters (all diverse in a sense) to reflect High Street’s “diverse and vibrant community.” Northern Exposure calls out to the regular inhabitants of Northcote and those that are in search of something new. These posters are representational of the possible arbitrary dialogues to be encountered.
